What we know today as Miami Lakes is the result of Ernest Graham acquiring about 7,000 acres of land to start a dairy business called Graham Dairy. The development of city we know today started by the Sengra Group, today the Graham Companies around 1932. Officially incorporated in December of 2000, Miami Lakes became the 31st municipality of South Florida and the youngest cities in Miami-County. Miami Lakes is a vibrant city with about 31,000 resident and a business community of around 1200 businesses ranging from small mom and pop stores to national and multination corporations.
